Select sites with useful online tools for teachers
www.quia.com  (Free trial and inexpensive. Make customizable Internet-based quizzes, games, etc. Track student scores. Create a class web page.)
www.roobrix.com  (includes a VERY IMPORTANT explanation on how not to grade erroneously with rubrics at the “Why use roobrix?” link; includes a rubric-generator)
www.puzzlemaker.com
www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/lesson_plan/  (Scroll down to use this lesson plan generator. It is a tool into which you can type.)
A site with printable and/or downloadable worksheets (there are many more)
www.edhelper.com  (I use the free service, but most teachers say that paying for full access is MORE than worth it.)
Select sites that help teachers to vary student products beyond worksheets
www.interactive-notebooks.wikispaces.com  (all about physical Interactive Student Notebooks (ISNs); explains how to assign student notebooks that are more than just repositories of notes . . . A potentially great student organizational tool because it will hold most if not all student notes, work, etc. Additionally, a HUGE, HUGE benefit to the teacher of using ISNs is that the quality and state of a student’s ISN can be the focal point of a parent-teacher-conference about student progress. It’s great documentation of the student’s (good or poor) work habits.)
www.dinah.com  (books on foldables, projects, organization, and much, much more; I find the subject-specific books indispensible.)
www.funbrain.com  (You can start a Funbrain gradebook and create, assign, and get student scores on language arts, math, etc. assignments. Funbrain has many games as well.)
